Step one is to prevent boats from sailing in areas where there are coral reefs. Step two is reducing the amount of pollution that is in the ocean. When there is too much pollution in the water it stays warm and algae can not grow, and therefore polyps cannot feed or breeze therefore they will just die. Step three is preventing runoff will help with the turbidity of the water and therefore the coral reefs will be able to receive sunlight and continue to thrive.
