6(4) - 2(6) = 12.
24 - 12 = 12.
K = 4.

6k-2z=12 has two variables (k and z), and thus you can solve for k only in terms of the unknown variable z:
6k = 2z+12, and so k = (1/3)z + 2 (answer)
