Explain how voting helps protect limited government and promote the rule of law

Through voting, the people could determine who should have the seat and rule in the Government.
With this system, the people could make sure that the government won't do anything that oppose the will of the majority in that nation.
This will keep the power of the government from becoming too large and make sure that only the candidates who manage to obtain people's representation is the one that is placed in the government
