After they had won the war, the Aztecs wanted  tributes from the people they subjugated, that is a delivery of goods such as food and materials.

I am not sure whether this is what you're looking for, but one word for crafted stonework would be gems or gemstone if it's made of crystals, or sculptures it represents something (such as people) from other kinds of stones.
