area of whole circle = pi*r^2
= 3.14*(5^2)
=78.5

area of white circle = pi*r^2
=3.14*(2^2)
=12.56

area of shaded region = 78.5 - 12.56
=65.94 square metres

You basically have to do the area of that larger circl minus the area of the larger one. And use 3.14 for pi

For the larger circle:
Radius=5 (3+2)
A=3.14*5*5
A=78.5

For the smaller circle:
A=3.14*2*2
A=12.56

Do the larger minus the smaller to get the answer
78.5-12.56=65.94 meters squares
