Inverse Of Functions

I use a certain way to find the inverse of a function.

Replace H(x) with y.

y=2x+1

Replace y and x.

x=2y+1

Find y.

x-1=2y

Divide both sides by two.

x-1/2=y

The Answer Is

[tex]h^{ - 1} (x) = \frac{x - 1}{2} [/tex]
