What is the relationship between mass, volume, and density? When you change one of those values, why do the others change, too?

In simpler terms:

Volume is the total area the object takes up
Mass is how much matter the object has
Density is how how compact an object is

Density is mass/volume so if you change either of those, the final outcome is different
