[tex]5y - 2x = 10[/tex]
Is the original problem. If you simplify this, you will get
[tex]5y = 2x + 10[/tex]
Divide the equation by 5
[tex]y = \frac{2}{5}x + 2[/tex]
The slope is
[tex] \frac{2}{5} [/tex]
While the perpendicular slope, which is the reciprocal of the slope, is
[tex] - \frac{5}{2} [/tex]
