First you can find the area of a rectangle by multiplying its length by its width.

0.45 km×0.40 km=0.18 km².

In order to convert this from kilometers to meters, multiply 0.18 by 1,000, since 1 kilometer is equal to 1,000 meters.

0.18×1,000=180

0.45 Km = 450 m

0.4 Km = 400 m

450 * 400 = 180000 m²
