In a rectangle, its length is two more than twice the width. If the perimeter is 28 cm, Find the dimensions of the sides if the perimeter is 28 cm?

So, the length is two times the width. We will make two formulas

P = 2L + 2W    , where L is length and W is width
L =2W+2

So, since you know that L = 2W and P = 28cm, you can plug that into the first formula. When you do that, you'd get

(28) = 2(2W+2) + 2W
28 = 4W + 4 + 2W
28-4 = 6W
24 = 6W
W = 4,

So, the Width would be 4 cm, the length would be 2(4) + 2 which is 10
